I wanted to create an environment with the best “mom and pop” feel in Wilmington – a place where you come as you are, everyone knows each other’s name, and a place that is warm and welcoming – a place that feels like home. With that mission in mind, Rustic Roots was born in 2018. Aside from wanting a relaxing space with an at-home atmosphere, it was important for me to create something that represented how I viewed the world. It’s not about being the biggest or fanciest salon, but rather, a place where people feel seen and appreciated. When I say “people,” that doesn’t stop at customers, but also includes my invaluable co-workers. I want my stylists to, not only, take home a great paycheck but to have a fulfilled life in an environment where they can thrive and be their best.
